The D/A Method is a Spanish literacy teaching system aimed at children in preschool. Its main goal is to help children acquire basic reading and writing skills in a way that promotes cognitive development but that is also entertaining. It relies upon the “Development and Acquisition” of written language in the form of simple language bricks which are related to several linguistic and/or symbolic patterns generally known to children at this stage of life.
The D/A Method takes the child on a journey of immersive storytelling, which makes it easy for the child to feel motivated and engaged with the process of learning. We have observed that children are eager to learn the meaning behind the symbols that enable them to explore a whole new world. As a result, they develop their intellectual capacities in a joyful and engaging way.

The D/A method has been successfully tested and executed for over two decades in Venezuela and Colombia yielding astonishing results.

Method
The aim of the D/A method is to teach children how to read and write in Spanish through the stimulation of all the senses.
The teachers who impart the method are provided with the necessary tools for teaching the method in a way that is coherent, practical, and pedagogical.
